Currently the /usr/share/pki/server/conf/tomcat.conf is deployed into two locations:

  • /etc/sysconfig/
  • /etc/pki//tomcat.conf

The first one is used by systemd, while the second one is a duplicate which should be removed to avoid confusions.

There should be only one tomcat.conf which is in /etc/tomcat and it is actually a system-wide configuration owned by tomcat package.

Some changes need to be done to the upgrade process:

  • The framework needs to be fixed to use the first file.
  • A new upgrade script is needed to remove the second file from all instances.
  • Another upgrade script may be needed to redo any previous changes to the second file into the first file.
