The /usr/share/ipa/shared folder contains only server files (e.g. conf, webapps) and stored in pki-server package. It would be better to rename it to /usr/share/ipa/server. Code that uses the folder (e.g. deployment, migration scripts) needs to be updated.

Correction, it should be /usr/share/pki/shared and /usr/share/pki/server.
