#298 Dogtag 10: Validation method(s) for user input data . . .
Closed: migrated by dmoluguw. Opened by mharmsen.

Currently, very minimal verification/validation is performed on user data that is delivered via the 'pkideployment.cfg' file used by 'pkispawn'.

This ticket suggests the creation and inclusion of one or more validation methods which could be utilized to help insure the "validity" of user's input data.

For example, we may determine that certain character values such as ":" are not allowed as a part of a valid pki_instance_name.
