It would be nice if we RHCS CAs could issue extended validation certificates. People love green url bars.
Per CS/DS Meeting of 06/22/2015: 10.3
From IRC conversation of 10/20/2015:
Although this ticket was proposed as something that was highly coveted by a customer, due to the concern of lack of resources available to implement this feature, required us to mark this feature in the NICE TO HAVE category for 10.3. Ergo, this ticket will be marked as 10.3 - minor to reflect this state.
Is the customer aware that browsers only recognise specific combinations of root cert / EV policy OID pairs? (They are hard-coded into the browser).
i.e. unless they have a sub-CA certfificate from one of the anointed EV authorities (or are one), then nothing we do can help them see the green bar with certificates they issue.
Closing as invalid (see previous comment)
