When run in VMware Workstation, I can usually resize the window and the system updates accordingly. This works fine with the GNOME spin, but not with the KDE one, which remains locked to the original size.

This is actually an issue with open-vm-tools in CentOS Stream 8.

I've filed a bug on RHBZ with a patch, and I hope they'll take it in.
