Yesterday I was contacted by Diogenes de Souza to be a speaker at CONSOLINE[0] 2013, the Northeastern Brazil Free Software Congress that will take place in Recife, Pernambuco, on the 9th of November.
Lots of communities and FOSS projects will be present and I was invited to represent Fedora Project and speak about Fedora in a talk. Fortunately, the event happens during the afternoon so I can take a bus to go to Recife early in the morning and take one back late in the night.
I'd like to request sponsorship to travel to this event (which has +1000 attendees, as of last years' edition) and, if available, some money to produce bottons/pen.
According to this[1] search I did, bus tickets will cost around R$ 120, which is about 55 USD. I was thinking of 25 bottons and 25 pens that, based on my last purchase, would cost about R$ 115, which is about 53 USD.
I believe we don't have much money left, so I will only put the value of my bus ticket on the trac ticket. If during the meeting we agree it's important to produce bottons/pen, I fix it.
Why I think it's important? Recife is probably the most important tech center in north/northeast Brazil, and I don't think we have active contributors from there. At least not ambassadors. It would be interesting to gather some contributors there.

CONSOLINE organization agreed to sponsor me to attend the event. They will sponsor me for both acommodation and bus ticket.
