#76 RHEL5 SSSD RPM Hangs X on Boot
Closed: Invalid Opened by myllynen.

When booting a newly installed RHEL 5 system for the first time with SSSD RPMs installed, the first login attempt will fail in GDM:

Jul 6 09:50:44 host kernel: sssd_dp[3882]: segfault at 0000000000000080 rip 000000359461fc70 rsp 00007fff08102918 error 4

GDM will hang forever. If one kills X and tries to login again the login will succeed.

If one does "rm -f /var/lib/sss/db/config.ldb /var/lib/sss/db/sssd.ldb" and another reboot, the login after booting will fail again:

Jul 6 10:14:00 host kernel: sssd_dp[3883]: segfault at 0000000000000080 rip 000000359461fc70 rsp 00007fff8a6d63d8 error 4

This might well be related to the recently fixed ticket #67.
