#365 Create synchronous sysdb interface
Closed: Fixed Opened by sgallagh.

The interface to the sysdb is asynchronous, while its actual execution is synchronous. There is no need to have a complicated async interface for synchronous activity.

The sysdb interface should be redesigned to be synchronous, similar to the confdb interface.
