#2558 Add dualstack and multihomed support
Closed: Fixed Opened by mbasti.

Currently SSSD with dyndns_update options, updates only one address (remove original A/AAAA in DNS) which is IP address of LDAP connection.

To support Dual stacked hosts we need to upload all addresses.

How is this different from enabling dyndns_iface ? Are you proposing to enable all address families by default as opposed to only updating using the address we're connected with?

For sure we need all address families.
IMO it is this ticket: https://fedorahosted.org/sssd/ticket/2120

AFAIK dyndns_iface updates just addresses from one interface. Hovewer would be nice to update all (non-local) host addresses in dns, from all interfaces. This could be achieved by adding a option into sssd.conf, which the ipa-client-install script can use.

And this ticket is also related, https://fedorahosted.org/sssd/ticket/2549.

Could be there a option value for all interfaces?

This ticket is clearly related to #2549 and #2120, so I'm moving it to the same milestone, bypassing triage.

Bumping ticket priority. It blocks FreeIPA ticket, so we should not forget about it.
