I just want to add my two cents to this ticket. I think this is extremely important (I've been asked repeatedly for this feature because people don't know it's in the -tools subpackage).

My recommendation is that we should change this upstream for 1.10's example spec but that we should modify formal distribution packaging immediately for 1.9.x. It's a very small change that belongs to the distributions, not really upstream.
