This page migrates the id_provider=ad documentation. There is also a similar wiki page that describes how to integrate sssd using the LDAP provider with AD but that one is still to be migrated.

A few changes:
line 29: "The AD provider was firstly introduced ..." instead of "The AD provider was first introduced"
line 38: leave the comma out of the in the server.ad.example.com,
line 398: "(...) to use shortnames" instead of "(...) to user shortnames"
