Sorry, I don't think we should get rid of this file. It causes no harm and other products in the IDM place have a current doap file. We should just fix the issues with it. That's just my opinion. If you really want to get rid of it lets discuss it on 389-devel to get everyone's thoughts on it. Thanks!

Sure we could fix it, but then we have to always keep fixing it. No one has noticed that it's been broken for literally years - which means it has zero relevance or users within the project. There seems to only be usage of this with apache branded projects/java according to http://oss-watch.ac.uk/resources/doap, and everything else about it seems to be unused or relatively unmaintained.

There is little point maintaining a metadata file that no one is actively consuming, and we have zero evidence of consumers.

If someone complains, we can also trivially revert and put it back and fix it then IMO.

I'd suggest better adding this into your global git exclude, not here.

I believe we discussed this previously also with Nathan who agreed to removing this as it has no use for anything any more. We can bring it back any time if necessary. So I'm fine with removing it.

I join to @mhonek , we can always bring it back but looks like nobody needs it.

Works for me then! Ack!

Thanks everyone!
