#50635 Disabling "Automatic Cache Tuning" and setting a "Database Cache Size" only works if you save the changes between the steps
Closed: wontfix by spichugi. Opened by mmuehlfeldrh.

Issue Description

Disabling "Automatic Cache Tuning" and setting a "Database Cache Size" only works if you save the changes between the steps.

Package Version and Platform

389-ds-base-1.4.1.6-2.module+el8dsrv+3912+aa2ce078.x86_64

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Cockpit
  2. Open Database / Global Database Configuration
  3. Disable "Automatic Cache Tuning". The "Database Cache Size (bytes)" field appears with a prefilled value.
  4. Change the value in "Database Cache Size (bytes)"
  5. Click "Save configuration"

Actual results

"Error updating configuration - Server is unwilling to perform"

Expected results

Operation should succeed.

Additional information

If you press "Save configuration" between step 3 and 4, it works. However, this is not obvious, since the field appears right after disabling "Automatic Cache Tuning" and the field is editable.
