Console can be installed on Windows and used to connect to admin server and manage instances of directory server. However, on Windows, no more than 1 instance of DS can be managed from console. Attempt to open window for another instance will results in error:
"Failed to install local copy of redhat-ds-9.1.0.jar or one of its supporting files. Please ensure that the appropriate console package is installed on the Administration Server."
Steps to Reproduce: 1. Configure Admin server and create 2 instances, that are managed by Admin server. Verify from console on RHEL. 2. On Windows 7, install Console. Run the console and fill the same credentials and location as on RHEL. 3. Try to open first DS instance - should succeed. 4. Try to open second DS instance - fails with error. 5. In case there are more instances, all but the first one fail on this error.
Failed to reproduce the issue.
I could successfully open the 3 DS consoles on Windows Server 2008R2.
Could it be a Windows 7 specific problem?
I could not reproduce the problem on Windows Server 2012R2, as well.
I could open multiple Directory Server instances, create another instance and remove it from the Console on Windows Server.
